Packed House for Roswell FM Screening

The 2013 White Sands International Film Festival kicked off Wednesday night September 4th with a special screening of the new comedy feature film, “Roswell FM.”

Los Angeles-based filmmakers Stephen Griffin and David Spence were introduced to the audience by producer and Tony Award winning playwright Mark Medoff (Children of a Lesser God). Prior to the screening Medoff told those in attendance the film festival board had lobbied the young filmmakers for nearly a year in the hopes of featuring a screening of the film at this year’s festival.

The local Cineport 10 theater in Las Cruces was packed with hundreds of attendees Wednesday night. The audience laughed throughout the screening.

Several of the film’s stars including; Brendan Fehr, Mirelly Taylor, Brian Tee, Doug Haley, Erin O’Shaughnessy, and Valli Marie Rivera were on hand. The cast members signed autographs, participated in a question and answer session about the making of the film, and attended a reception at the historic La Posta restaurant in Mesilla, NM after the screening.
